Last minute hail mary? Ask the locals when you're there if you haven't found what you are looking for through Google.

Cross-reference TripAdvisor and Yelp. Plan to eat late. I remember making reservations for the earliest seating at 20:00.

Jeez dude. Barcelona is a city with SOOOOOO many high end restaurants that you probably wanted to make reservations at a few places at least a month ago.

You'll have to give more detail as to what you're looking for as Barcelona is a major world food hub with thousands of places to eat and drink.

I will find the names of the tapas places we ate on Blai Street. It's a pedestrian street that the locals go to. We like to stay away from. The tourists areas like Las Rambles. I also have a high end place I'll find the name of.

Cerveceria Catalana

2nd this place

Also see I have Senyor Parellada listed down as reviewed, but I don't remember it that well. I think it was on the higher end side with more large portions than tapas.

Cerveceria Catalana is packed from the moment the doors open at that joint till they close. Was nuts trying to get a table there.

Also, head to La Boqueria and just walk around and eat everything you see. Good way to kill a morning or afternoon.

Here you go. Tast Ller, Tapeo, Café De L'Academia, Arcano and Llamber. We spent a week in Barcelona in 2016 and loved it We ate at fantastic restaurants every night. All of these places are in the Old Town, either in El Born or the Gothic Quarter and are within a 10 minute walk of each other. Tast Ller was the best restaurant of the trip. It is small, they have a set menu and it may be too late to get reservations but you can try. The rest of these are more casual and down to earth. Tapeo is a great tapas bar with gourmet level food. The filet with truffled demi glace at Café De L'Academia was delicious. Arcano and Llamber were also very good restaurants with tapas style menus. Barcelona is a great food town.

Café de l'Academia

We stayed in BCN five days in September. Café de l'Academia was our favorite spot. It was so good for our first dinner in town, we went back again a few nights later. The opposite of trendy, but simple, thoughtful, soulful, delicious food. Just loved it.

Same here. On the way out we made reservations for a few nights later and got the same thing - the filet with demi glace and truffles. The restaurant is on an obscure square a couple of blocks off the beaten path (the beaten path being the square City Hall is on). It is an atmospheric place and the food is delicious.
