Just saw a sign up next to Albasha in Prairieville. Anyone got the scoop? I’m hoping it’s an offshoot from Bao on Perkins and I can get my pho fix closer to home

I sure hope so. Haven’t heard anything about it. We need different cultural foods out here badly. I hope Thai comes next! Then Indian!

Agreed! I think it’s just a sign so far. I pulled through the parking lot and it looked like a remodel project with hanging duct work. Nothing else to go on.

I saw this yesterday and wondered myself what they had going on. If you find out later, please bump this thread.

I can confirm that this Bao is indeed the same folks as the Perkins location Bao.

"We are very excited to serve the Prairieville area as well! We cant wait to have it up and running! We will sell mainly prepared meals. It will be the same food as the Baton Rouge location, but more of a grab and go style."
I asked if that meant Pho to go... and they said "Yes!"

this will be clutch. Pville needs a decent lunch spot.

I always get the rare beef & brisket, but that one is really good. I have found it fairly consistent and just about as good as anything I've had in BR. From P-ville, the Perkins location is the closest Vietnamese, and it is not worth the extra drive to Sherwood/Florida area.
It should do very well in the new location. I'm a bit confused how it will work, if it will be dine-in or all to-go? I'm excited either way. Even if I have to take my food back home...I'm all smiles.

Bet on which sign stays up longer before the place opens: Ichiban in Gonzales or Bao Asian Market P'ville. Asians need to get their shite together.
