Can somebody please tell me why my wife cann't cook a dam baked potato.. Is it really that hard? I mean I've done it a hundred times and mabe 1 time messed them up.. Every time she cooks them there are either not done or so overlooked that they are hard. I just told her it isn't hard to bake a potato and sh left her steak sitting on the table and turned on hallmark movie.. Says she is no longer hungry, think she got the hint?

210 degrees internal temp is the key

I like to roll them in veg oil, then hit em good with course salt and place on a cookie sheet (don't wrap with foil) and put in a 450 degree oven for about 20 min, then reduce to 350 for 45-90 min or however long it takes (depends on size) to get an internal temp of 210

Mine stole my head of cabbage and made some sort of Pinterest bland diet abomination crap with it. I was really looking forward to cooking my head of cabbage. I'm going to sabotage her rice cakes, flax seed or something.

Cabbage needs bacon. Anything less is cruel.

Never thought to use a probe thermometer on band potatoes.

I'm wondering if you are getting the hint because it seems like you are going to be living with an icebox for the next day or so.

Since you are so good at baking them maybe you shouldn't delegate that operation to her.

Nah. Cabbage needs a good smoked sausage. Never did prefer bacon in my smothered veggies.
