I tickled some pink back in my day...you're much more perceptive than I'd figured from your posts.

Yep I remember Reuniti. Pink Chablis too. Maybe Thunderbird. As I recall T-Bird had subtle hints of green pecan.

We stayed outside the barracks because the smoke inside at times got pretty strong. Ah the days of youth - 10 feet tall and bulletproof.

You are a complete moronic mother fricker if you surmise I suck as a person simply because I do not drink red wine. I've watched your bullshite comments for quite some time and have never called you out on it, but this is bullshite.

Almost 30. I was assigned to North Bend, Oregon. 9 months of rainy cool weather helped me fall in love with red wine. There are a lot of nice underrated wineries in Oregon and Washington.

Every once in a while at dinner I may have a glass of Cab. But Bourbon is my go to drink these days.

I fell in love with cheap reds as soon as I was old enough to drink. Over time I've "refined" my palate, but I'm still not what I would consider a connoisseur. I took my uncle's advice when he told me it's not about the sticker price of the wine, it's about what tastes good to you and provides the right flavor profile for what you're eating. If you can get that with a cheaper wine, there's no shame in that. That's why I feel physical pain to this day if I pay more than about $20/bottle

I was about 8 or 10. My parents were very big on California and Italian wines. Never French simply because they didn't know the regions. I'm the same today and I have a nice collection of both.

I'm a Clark and Elizabeth Swanson fan and have been there quite a few times. Great Cab and a very good Merlot. They stuck with it when many dug the merlot vines up. She is from New Orleans.

I'm drinking an 09 Alexis now after reading this thread I had to pull and pour it to participate.

And it's very nice.

$20 / bottle is more what I consider fine wine. I tend to stay in the $10 - $15 range. I am enjoying a Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir as I write this.

Me and you both! I'll shamelessly admit that the Louis M. Martini Cabernet is a sweet spot for me. A great value wine for my admittedly unrefined palate.

I'm sure it will get hate because I think the same company that owns Barefoot owns this vineyard as well, but I'm okay with it
