Initially, it's great. Then you start bringing home a lot of shite you don't need, and you start regretting it...

Looks like a great deal, what's the catch?

No catch, just only valid for new members, not renewals.

That hotdog is one of the most satisfying on-the-go lunches on this planet. I usually add a pound of chopped onions on top.

So how much better is Costco vs Sams? We have Sams but I think I've been to Costco once but never went around fully.

Costco will do the same for $0.05 cheaper, and I get credit for my yearly cash back. No brainer here.

Not sure where you're getting that extra $0.03 per diaper, I was already using their delivered price. And I find Pampers to be the better product for my child, so it's an equal no brainer for me

I signed up for a Costco executive membership because they gave me a free pizza, chicken, $20 card and 72 AA batteries

I have no use for 72 batteries

Truth. When the cheaper one doesn't fit as well, and you're cleaning shite out of clothing, pajamas, or your floor/walls, that $2 per box you saved doesn't look so great. My daughter used Pampers, then Huggies, then Pampers again, then Target brand. Different sizes in different brands worked best. My son has been on WalMart brand pretty much since day 1. With a little Target/Pampers sprinkled in there.

You can buy a gift card to Costco online and go walk around and see if you like it better. I think its worth it for the paper products, detergent/soap, and meat.

I guess it depends on what you buy and how close each is to you.

Costco carries much more high end stuff, and their Kirkland brand is superior across the board. For everyday stuff and non-perishables I'd say they're pretty equal.

Yeah, the big difference is it seems Costco's house brand Kirkland items are better quality than Sam's house brand Members Mark stuff. Sam's Clubs seem to have more items overall in the warehouses, but Costco's stuff seems higher end.

Anyone ever bought the Wagyu online? They have ribeyes right now for $150/4

Seems like a great deal if the meat is shipped properly.

ETA: it's American, not Japanese. They have that, but its over $100/lb

The gas and the alcohol alone are very much worth it. We are Executive members and the yearly cash back check more than pays for our membership. I also agree on the paper products. We shop there just about every week. Beware of the samples though! You will wind up with all kinds of shite in your basket that you never intended to buy!
