Well, it's blatant and concise, but I would not say that it offers no insight.

Definition of insight: the capacity to gain an accurate and deep intuitive understanding of a person or thing.

Like I said, no insight whatsoever. Now we can get back on topic. Thanks, though.

I like it. Perfect with crawfish. Nice on a dog walk in hot weather.

Oooh look at me, I can put a cute little picture on a website when I don't know what else to do.

I don't know if I should be offended or be proud since it's the first time I've been insulted with a picture on here. It took me long enough.

I guess I'll have a beer later to celebrate, but I can admit it won't be an Abita brew. It will be a Lagunitas Sucks.

I know I'm not writing any new thought or revalation, but in general, folks in Louisiana are extremely proud of the culture that exists that celebrates good food and drink and takes pride in "local"

That's why Abita has done so well for so long, because it's Louisiana's beer, not because it's a great beer. Beer enthusiasts in Louisiana already know that NOLA and Parish put out better products, they just simply don't have the capacity yet to compete with Abita

great post. Tigerlee should read this

parish and nola with the funds that abita has would be great

This.

NOLA actually sold a beer last year that they knew they wouldn't make money on. They knew it was a great recipe and the market would love it, so they did a limited release just to give the people what they wanted.

Damn dude. You're mad! Sorry I insulted your Abita. Would it help if I let you cry on my shoulder?

Obviously there are tons of peole who believe Abita is a great beer.
I think it's great.
I'm a huge fan of craft beers... Some I like, some I don't.
But what I don't do is judge every freaking beer I pour down my throat with Abita...

I'm inclined to believe a few you here just enjoy bitching and griping.... I'm not a beer expert.. Never claimed to be and don't aspire to be, as is the vast majority of beer drinkers.

Here's a free tip....Stop taking yourselves so fking serious.
Nobody cares if you are the beer guru you try to make everyone on this board believe you are.
Btw, jones this isn't aimed soley at you... Plenty of other beer know it alls in this thread and on this board.

I'm not sure what you mean by your post here when you say:

You honestly lost me, but it could be me (I have no problem saying that).

And I'm definitely not mad, I think all the bitching is pretty funny. I think you are just typing stuff now just to make yourself feel better. But, if you are a cute lady I may cry on your shoulder just to see where it leads. If not, I'll pass. Oh, and lighten up Francis.

ETA: Maybe your reading comprehension is below par because I'm trying to see where I was mad. But I just don't see it. Maybe there should be a sarcasm font here though and that would help?

I don't understand why people get so upset when you say something negative about Abita.

This has almost turned into negatiger vs positiger thread.

More often than not, people criticize something because they want it to be better. As with LSU, why would any beer lover in LA not want the flagship brewery to not be great?

Oh, you mad alright. Again, I'm sorry I offended your Abita. Do you work for them or something?

But, if you are a cute lady

I Only offer up what a few others have stated...
Abita strawberry is pretty good when paired with
a crawfish boil

Any other time it is entirely forgettable .

Yeah, I don't get it either, but this is nothing new here. There is always a Strawberry thread every winter/spring, and it always goes down the same way.

Again, no hate from me for Abita. I love when I randomly find it on tap or on the shelves up here. Reminds of home. That being said, I'm not going to cream myself over a pedestrian offering from a brew house just because they are from my home state.

Reading comprehension it is then. My name says it all. And if I really loved them, I'd celebrate the picture you posted with an Abita brew.

You realize this all started because you tried to post a jackass comment about insight, right?

It' went to crap, I may as well keep it going. Me and Mo Jeaux are doing a good job of bringing it down....or making it better if you like the pure entertainment of it.
