I got some fresh pecans and thought I’d try a praline from scratch

I'm not a dessert maker, but I made pralines with this mix and they were delicious. No one could believe I used a mix. I guess it's pretty much the same ingredients you would use for scratch, but mixed up. You add butter and pecans and some cream I think. Boil for one minute and done.

My aunt. She won't give it to me. Evil woman teases me and gives me a tin of them for my birthday every year and won't spill the recipe. I'm gonna have to start pulling my cousins' finger nails after she passes.
They're so fricking good.

My mom makes them with Marshmallows, sugar, butter, owt milk, pecans and vanilla extract.
Put a towel out on the table and cover it with wax paper, scoop it out.
I'll get you recipe amounts if you interested.

Pecan Pralines (makes 2 dozen)
2 cups sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
2 cups chopped pecans
4 tbsp butter
dash of vanilla
Dissolve sugar in evaporated milk and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add the butter and pecans. Cook until syrup reaches the softball stage or 280 degrees. Test in cold water. Cool ten minutes without disturbing. Add vanilla. Beat until thick. Drop by spoonful on aluminum foil.
