Personally, I like medium-sized crawfish to large. I feel like medium take the seasoning better. Also, your paying for heads with large crawfish.

I normally just go with the cheapest option. I prefer all the juices and fat out of the head over the meat anyways.

I’ve been saying this for years. It’s not like peeling crawfish is work like crabs.

Yes especially later in the season when the shells on the larger ones are hard as rocks

The only advantage of the larger ones, to me, is the claws. Other than that, yeah i agree with you.

I like my crawfish like I like boobs. Big ones can be just too much. Medium is the perfect size.

Been saying this for years. Had a friend(new to the area) who would only by 'select'. Told him that is a new thing since Texas started buying a lot of our product. They only want the big ones. Dumb Asses.

I like the big ones because you also get some extra claw meat

I find the medium size to be juicier, but I do like large claws.

I much prefer a medium crawfish. Big crawfish seems to have more waste, especially when they have those big pincers.

Medium, but most people I know want large. To me, mediums are more tender and juicier.

If you get large or select and pay by the pound you’re paying for the large heads and not necessarily for the amount of actual crawfish meat.
They look pretty though.

You also get more meat yield per pound with a medium crawfish. The selects are all head
