With lent kicking off, I was curious if anyone has been to the Galley on Metairie road lately? I went about 3 years ago and though the food was meh and overpriced. Any improvements? The yelp reviews are brutal.

That’s unfortunate, thanks though.

You can get a good meal at a lot of high end establishments for less than what you will pay here.

I like how you pull up a menu on Yelp, and half the items are listed as 'Market Price' - things like fried shrimp and catfish.

Same sentiment my wife shared when she and her daughter ate there a while back.

I had a business lunch there many years ago...2005 or so. It was fantastic and the place was packed.

I've eaten there two more occasions over the years. Had a good meal each time.It was always very busy when I was there, too.

I haven't been in a few years since leaving there feeling I spent the equivalent of a house note.

This has to be the most underrated place in town.

Anyone who charges $10 for 10 onions rings does not get my business.
