Anybody ever painted an Egg?

I inherited a red egg from my FIL around Christmas. I assume it's a Kamodo Joe or whatever. Sumbitch is 20+ years old. Cooks great but it's pretty worn looking and could use a facelift. Anybody ever painted an egg or have some tips for painting something ceramic that gets hot?

Think regular high temp paint would stick to the ceramic?

Bring it to a powder coat shop

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get can(s) of (high temp) stove spray paint. May only come in black? Sand lightly to roughen up surface and spray a couple of coats.
Maybe engine block paint would work also.

They are called Kamado grills.

Is it red or orange? It sounds like you may have an original egg which was an orangish color. If so you need to watch your temps. They don't have the modern ceramic, they are terra cotta and will crack with high temp cooks.
Look like this?

Well hell. That's exactly the thing I have. I guess it never was really red. Didn't realize I had the OG egg and that's what it is supposed to look like. I think I'll keep it like its is.
