I'll take J Alexander Prime Rib over most steaks.
And I do almost monthly.

I like a good thick slab of prime rib cooked med rare them sear it on the outside just a little. Serves with some horseradish and aux jus and I'm GTG.

It's just roast beef.

I like prime rib. Capital City Grill does a nice one for a reasonable price.
I don't know how it is considered overrated either though. Who is rating this prime rib so high?
The term overrated is overused and over-mis-understood.

Would you prefer over-priced, antiquated, boring?

How the frick is a cut of beef antiquated? It's one of the best cuts of meat on a cow. It's not a fad, it's a got damn whole ribeye. Is a ribeye supposed to go away after at certain amount of time?

I wish I could find a pic of your "gumbo."

Sliced beef with jus and horseradish isn't how I like to spend $40-$50.

That's fine. Doesn't make it antiquated.
