Any reviews of Provisions (in the old Galatoire's location in BR)?

Does the "nm" mean nevermind?

I'd like to see some reviews here too. We kinda hammered the whole name/decor/hospitality group in the thread about it opening, but I keep seeing people go. Nobody has really talked about the food though.

I feel like the turnaround from Galatoire's to this place was stupid quick

All they pretty much did was paint 1/2 the wall red from the few pictures I have seen.

the decor is extremely odd and a little distracting.
the food is pretty good, nothing earth shaking but it was interesting

i'll go back if asked but its not a destination for me

They were doing $20 unlimited craft beer, house wine, champagne, and call cocktails on gamedays.

$10 unlimited "microbrew" beers during the game.

I have eaten at the bar three times now.

I don't have pics or fodder for a full review but will say that it isn't bad.

The wings are good, the steak was nice but not steakhouse quality, there are some interesting apps.

The cocktails are good but pricey. I actually spoke to the Manager after my first visit a couple of days after they opened just to express my opinion that he would face issues when his cocktails are substantially more than Jubans or Ruth's. I think they may have corrected that as my bill was less the next time around.

In sum, I enjoy it as a place to have a cocktail and light dinner/app in the SouthDowns area. I haven't sat in the dining room and dug into the entrees so I can't comment on that.

I had a nice club sandwich and fries a couple of months back. The decor and vibe is weird (seeing a wall of campbell soup cans doesn't send the message that we make everything from scratch).

I'll have to give it another try.

eta:the fries were excellent.

I'll give a review from only what I've seen online.

1) Horrible name. 2011 called, they want their peak names back.

2) The logo with the fork and exclamation mark...jeez that's late 90s early 2000s retro.

3) Looking at the exterior...it's hard to know whether it's a strip club or not.

4) that pink or red painted room...you're not a cool club in a major city, you can't get away with that.

5) some sort of casserole or lasagna is served in a pyrex dish?!

6) menu is burger/steak/fried oysters on top of said steak/ crispy protein sandwich/enchiladas/waldorf-esque salad.....what is the concept? Trying to be a gastropub? That's not working out for a lot of....gastropubs

7) Chocolate cake dessert......thrilling

Then I saw this on their website, and it all made sense: LINK

I had lunch there about a month ago. Sat in the bar area, had good service. Just had a fried chicken club sandwich...chicken was fried very well, slaw on top was just wet cabbage. $15 felt like robbery for a club.

I like it, but everything costs about $2 more than it should, from food to drinks. I do like their “patio” seating area, though, especially for a working lunch.
