I thought they were beginning construction in August in the new Rouses shopping center by LSU. It's January and no news? Anyone know anything?

One of the Chik Fil A managers says that's going to be an Atomic Burger.

Haven't heard a thing, and it's killing me! Last I read they were hoping to be open for football season... missed that mark.

The building next to CFA looks just like this so I imagine it’s the Atomic Burger

Edit - I see that’s been addressed

This article made it sound like it was going to be open in the fall, but that apparently didn’t happen.

Anyone know if the Dat Dog is a stand alone construction or is the building already part of the constructed shopping center?

Why do you need Dat Dog when you already have Der Wienerschnitzel?

I went there once and had to wait 45 minutes for 3 hot dogs. I'm not even exaggerating.. 45 minutes..

dat dog since getting bigger has had somewhat of a cane's effect with the product getting diluted. i prefer frankie's but dat dog if its anything like the new one in lafayette will be a fun spot to get a drink.

it definitely is. i noticed the change when they went from the original two stores to having one in the metarie mall, building one in lafayette, etc.

The franchisee backed out of the deal. The Dat Dog that was to open at Lee and Burbank is no longer going to happen.

Just for that particular location or all of BR? I feel like I remember the original plan was to put 2 locations here.

I believe I read they were going to build several new ones of these soon here. Not sure where I saw that.

I didn’t realize it was a franchisee??? I thought there were two co owners, a father and son, who owned the original in NOLa, opened the Lafayette location, and was planning to open the BR location.
