Ichiban is the best I’d think.

Ate at Ichiban during the week and they had signs saying no hibachi. They are having a hard time keeping chefs.

We called about a month ago and they only had 1 hibachi table open, no reservations and only 1 seating per night

TBH … is there really such thing as good hibachi? It is an activity and entertainment and the food is always okay??? Maybe I have just not been to a good one?

Had Tokyo Cafe for lunch yesterday and thought it was really good. Killer lunch special too at about $9 for chicken, fried rice, noodles, and veggies. That shite is like $30 if you go for dinner

Tokyo Cafe was always the best in Baton Rouge. However I think they failed some inspections over and over and the last time I was there, every menu at our full hibachi was tattered and disgusting. Floors were even kind of slick in a greasy way. If it wasn't a birthday dinner for someone there, I would have just walked out.

There's tons of good hibachi out there.
It's a basic cooking process. That being said there is a huge discrepancy in quality of ingredients and quality of chef.

Find one that uses high end cuts and seafood with a good sushi chef and it can be a fantastic culinary experience.

There can be a massive difference between a place with $20 steak and chicken hibachi and a place with $75 steak and chicken hibichi.
