I've been craving some good Cuban food. Are there any good Cuban options in the New Orleans area?

Seems like I ate a good Cuban sandwich real close to Central Grocery tucked up in one of those side roads. I'm not sure if it was 100% Cuban but it was that kind of food.

You're thinking El Libre, and yes, that's legit.

There is a Cuban restaurant in Old Arabi that gets some good reviews. Only got a coffee there, gave me type 2 diabeetus.
Serious language barrier so it is probably authentic.

Checks out. I was stunned when I saw some Cubans making coffee, the amount of sugar is unreal.
A good Cuban/Puerto Rican/Caribbean place could make a killing IMO.

Was in Miami a couple months ago, and had my share of some great Cuban food. I wish they had something legit around here.

Before the storm we used to eat at el liborio a good bit. Always seemed to get a good business lunch crowd. After the storm it got bad. Surprised another Cuban place hasn't popped up in the CBD somewhere.
