I love the stuff.
No calories, fat, carbs etc.
Great flavor
Even can use it in place of salt in some circumstances.
Surely there must be something wrong with it.

I don't think so Tigertown. It has some health benefits as well. I love anything pickled or fermented!

I do as well. I sometimes buy a can of beets and soak them in apple cider vinegar for an hour. Delectable.

My only culinary use for the acidic liquid is for pepper sauce.

Not a fan of pickled stuff. Some dill flavored chips are good, but others are too strong for my taste.

Pickling
salad dressings
stews
soups
marinades
Hell I keep at least 5 or 6 kinds of vinegar around.

I love vinegar of all kinds. I've used a lot of apple cider vinegar lately, it seems, and last weekend, malt vinegar for fish and chips. A malt vinegar mayo sauce is so good. I use a lot more vinegar, though.
Love a West Indies salad. During the summer, I've kept sliced sweet onions and cucumbers in a vinegar, water, salt and pepper mixture in the fridge.

I use vinegar in salad dressings, with beets and some marinades.
But I don't like vinegar in picante sauce because the sour overpowers the tomato, pepper and other spices. I've been on 10 year search for a Picante Sauce that has little or no vinegar.

Sure there is. Just depends on how you position the bottle.

I will have to try this. When heading to the beach I load up at the pickle and olive bars at Whole Foods. I love the pickled brussels ssprouts and pickled green tomatoes.

I have recently come across bags of pickle flavored peanuts.

My brother has been on a strict no-carb diet. You can't use balsamic vinegar because it contains sugars. Sounded crazy to me.
Homemade balsamic vinaigrette always in my fridge!

If you like vinegar for seasoning, you should try citric acid, a powder, sometimes called "sour salt". (It doesn't contain sodium.) Perfect for when you want to add acidity, but in dry form. You can get it at international markets.
