It’s average at best, but on a night like tonight be prepared to be disappointed

Fish and pasta dishes are fine despite what they say on here.

Try Ristorante Fillippo down the street. I’ve had some good meals there last 6 months.

I want to know why Impastato's and Andrea's, two mediocre old senile restaurants in Metairie were the only choices.

I will be the contrarian here. I like Andrea's. It can have its off nights, but when it is on, it is one of the better restaurants in Jefferson Parish IMO. They know us there, so we usually get good treatment. Seafood and Italian specialties can be very good.

I will warn you. Some of the worst meals I have had there were on special occasion nights such as NYE. I would put Valentines Night in that category. If they overbook, they sometimes seat people in the banquet rooms which I don't like.

Every restaurant for the most part is what you make it.

If you just enjoy the company, get some halfway decent wine, an go with the flow it'll be fine.

I wouldn't say that Andrea's is straight BAD. Just kinda mediocre

Yeah this def. could be a problem tonight as I'm sure they aren't well staffed to begin with due to the lingering labor issues. And they used to be known to overbook no matter what.

I can think of 7 Italian places I’d rather eat in Jefferson parish without even thinking

Andreas may not even be a top 10 Italian restaurant in the parish, and there’s not even great food within its limits. The Italian options are pretty decent, however.

Andrea’s is capable of putting out very good food. Unfortunately, they have been inconsistent for years. The only times I have gone there over the last 20 years was with elderly relatives.

Is this the place the food guy on WWL would talk about?

I miss those threads.
