Used for cooking, baking, marinating and storage, aluminium is a staple in our kitchens from home cooks to chefs alike. However, with concerns about metal leaching into our food, how safe is aluminium foil?

Diana Ser answers your queries by finding out how much aluminium is actually leaching into our food, and whether that is dangerous for our bodies.

After watching the video above, I've decided to stop using foil to cover metal containers and only use it to cook if absolutely necessary.

Not sure why the overcorrection, as it doesn't seem like its bad. Unless you have kidney issues or potentially if elderly.

Though the steel/aluminum battery effect was interesting to know not to combine.

what shes not telling you is that the aluminum ions attach to the microplastics already in your food and form a chelate which is easily passed through your kidneys.

Just kidding i made that up

If you've ever seen what happens when you leave it overnight in contact with tomatoes, you might believe it's dangerous.

that’s the acid in the tomato corroding the foil. Never use foil with an acidic food. Foil is perfectly safe…you get way more aluminum in 99% of underarm deodorants

My grandma used to wash and reuse aluminum foil, and had a kitchen drawer filled with aluminum foil.
