It's Ambriza and it is delicious. There's also one in the Vintage Park area off 249. Ambriza is not your typical Tex Mex. Their serrano margaritas are also delicious.

I’m sure there are some places in Houston that might be pretty good but I bet most people on this website are afraid to go to them.

The neighborhood doesn't have to look like Juarez or Acuna for the food to be good.
There is a place in the gayborhood that has food like my grandmother and mom cook that is outstanding.

The fajitas at Tony’s (located in the Heights) are pretty damn good.

Besides, I mentioned a place already that was based off a recommendation from a friend that is also from south texas. If anybody itt has gone there I figure they would have responded

I’m sure many of these places have good queso but I don’t think that’s what he meant. And it’s pretty hard to frick up queso.

Maybe not but the more run down looking buildings typically have the best Tex mex. this is the case in San Antonio, the valley, and the rest of south texas.
