Roise Joe's wasn't bad. Spirits is a local favorite and so is the Pizza place down the street a block or two.

Spirits used to be passable. Fortunately, it’s been a few years since I had to spend the night in Alex, so can’t really vouch for sure right now.

The longest decade of my life was the two years that I lived in Alexandria.

They have the only Schlotzsky's that I know of in Louisiana. Anywhere else Schlotzsky's would not be on a recommendation list, but it the only place I stop when passing through Ellec.

The Bentley room in the Bentley hotel downtown is pretty solid. Can be on the pricier side, but solid.

Johnston St. location closed 5 years ago (Feb 2021) as the original owners sold both stores to retire after being in business 35 yrs. That location is now a Kartchners selling boudin and specialty meats.

Former employee bought the Southpark / Broussard - Pinhook Rd location. It closed permanently 6 months ago due to poor management and employees that had zero respect and were irresponsible. Shame because Schlotxskys had a solid sandwich menu as I ate there several times per month.

Rosie Jo's is a big NO. They recently were hit hard for several violations during inspections by the board of health.
