If you have space on your counter top for one or the other, which do you keep? Why (what do you use it for)?

That is an air fryer, not a pressure cooker. Perhaps I should have used the terms "air fryer" or "pressure cooker".

I know Instantpot has an air fryer attachment for a standard Instantpot, and I'm hoping somebody chimes in on that.

We have an insta pot and a Ninja Foodie air fryer. We use the air fryer way more. I'd say a 8-12 times week v. once every 2 weeks could be the ratio. Air fryer reheats leftovers use it to cook a lot of pre packaged frozen foods (Nuggets, etc) and make pizza.

I have the version that is wide and deep but not very tall that stands up out of the way when not in use.

I'm a rice and gravy man. Most of my dishes call for cooking meat for a long time to break it down. Insta pot for me any day.

You can get an air fryer attachment for the instapots now. I use my instapot considerably more than I do my air fryer personally. Search amazon for instapot duo.

The Ninja Foodi is both and air fryer AND a pressure cooker. That's what I have and it's perfect. It comes with everything you need to perform all functions … no additional attachments to buy.

Cakes fricking loves her air fryer and i don't have the heart to tell her i think it's really overrated. It does cook things fast though.

Air fryer all day! I have an instapot; don’t care for it at all and about to sell it on FB market place.

To be clear, Foodi Ninja, as an example

Frozen wings, 5 mins in pressure, 5 mins release, 12 mins air fry is a yes. Amazing wings under 25 mins.

Neither.

Air fryer is not frying anything, therefore making it pointless. If I want something fried, I’m going to fry it. Just don’t eat fried food three times a day and you’ll be fine health-wise. I have a stand-alone deep fryer that I use probably six or so times per year. This is not destroying my health. As an option, you can just fry something on the stove in a pot.

Speaking of using six times a year, I have an instapot that probably hasn’t been used a total of six times in the two years that I’ve had it. Huge waste of money.

First of all, don’t keep the dang thing on your countertop. Put it away when you’re not using it. Kitchen clutter is the worst—it’s a dirty, grimy place if you cook regularly, and the less stuff you leaving on the countertops, the easier it will be to clean.

Second, the choice depends on what kind of foods you prefer. Pressure cookers excel at more liquid dishes: soups, stews, chili, beans, etc. You can’t do any of that with an air fryer.

Personally, I’ve got a Breville convection countertop oven and an instant pot. Convection oven will handle air fryer type tasks and general baking, instant pot lets me go from dry beans to cooked meal in right at an hour.
