Mother of god people.
Why is this beer not the most discussed beer on here?
It is easily abita's best offering in years.
And not just because my face is numb.

I agree. It's a really good beer.

Hope that shite´s available in cold weather, as it sounds great.

Oh look, another thread about a mediocre Abita beer. Awesome!

Is this the one that had the bourbon taste?
If so, I didn't like it at all when I had it.

Nice accumulation of downvotes.

I like it too. The bomber is too expensive though for me to drink routinely.

That's putting it mildly.
To me it tasted more like smelling very good bourbon while drinking a very thin porter.
I would say the enjoyment of the beer depends on your enjoyment of bourbon. The smell reminded me of young pappy/weller.
I will say, after a half dozen of em, yella pils, a summer ale, and a Not Your Father's rootbeer mixed with a baltic porter, the night came to a fairly early close.

Was just thinking it isn't the best time of year for this. Will definitely try when it is colder.

It tastes just like German chocolate cake

It's pretty good, much better than the previous bourbon aged beer by Abita. I preferred Great Rafts version better though.

A bad baltic porter reminds you of PVW? Ok....

Rather than trying to be an arse, maybe you should do a little research into what barrels it was aged in.

See...this is exactly why is fails IMO
1) Its way too thin for a porter. It drinks like an amber.
2) The bourbon should add a bit of sweetness and a hint of alcohol burn. The burn was way too much.
