Ernest Orleans Cafe

Maybe this will help...
When we lived in Monroe, I had a chance to eat at Ernest...it's very good.

+1 for Ernest

I've never been to either place, buy I'll go with Willie Maes, simply because I'm pretty sure she's not trying to pimp out some goofy florist scam tie-in, to dining in her place.

Although, I have a strange feeling Tigre's assessment of Willie Mae's is spot on.

Ernest's is my vote. Do not know anything about Willie Mae's. Know a lot about Ernest's and it is as advertised. Luckily about 4-5 times a year I get to play darts at the small bar inside and we are treated to what ever the chef wants to prepare for us that night and it is always great.

Not sure I see how these to places can be compared. Apples and oranges ARE both fruits, but that is where the simalarity ends.

Ernest's looks good, and I will seek it out next time I'm up there.

Been wanting to go to Willie Maie's since hereing aboiut it last year on Food Network when it was named best resturant fried chicken in the the country.

Can't see how you can "VOTE" for one over the other...nothing in common except that both are restuarants.

that's kind of the point of this tourney, right?

I suppose we could do a poll asking the tops in each cuisine when this is over? I think it would be worth it just for the arguments.

I vote for Earnest's as well

When I worked at the Shreveport airport, their fish would come in on the last flight of the night. The pick up guy would bring crab claws for us usually twice a week.

For the next tournament -- Ernest's vs. Johnny's Pizza in an 8-9 matchup.

Never been to Willie Mae's, but since this is a regional pissing affair, as fricking usual, I will vote for Ernest's because I have had it. The crab claws are unbelievable. It is one of the top three places to eat in all of Shreve.

Too late to vote, but Willie Mae's blows, I'd take Popeye's over that place any day.
