I guess the particular strand of hops they use in it has more of a piney aftertaste than other IPA's which still have some piney characteristics, but have a more crispy bitter than piney aftertaste(if that makes sense).

Makes perfect sense. Some hops are definitely more piney than others. I will have to try this one again, as I don't particularly recall piney hops being extremely prevalent. Then, I am a fan of those.

I thought that Sam Adams Noble Pils was very meh.

I agree. Very mild IPA, but then I think they strive for mainstream type stuff. Their Imerial Series is interesting though. I'd like to see what they could do with and Imperial IPA.

I don't care what this list says - the best hops are in Oregon, the most unique/per capita breweries and the best bottled IPA (the beer that matters)...the US is now the Roman Empire of the beer world and Oregon is it's Rome.

The Noble Pils is a noble pilsner (noble meaning all noble hops) not an IPA. It really shouldn't taste much like an IPA.

Bell's Two-Hearted Ale, in my opinion, if we're sticking to a regular IPA.

You are correct. I was reading/typing Noble Pils but thinking Lat 48 IPA. Please substitute Lat 48 in my response....Yeh, I know it is not on topic. It's freakin' Friday....All I'm thinking is time for a beer!

I'd still like to see an SA Imperial IPA though.

Yeah, I love that one. Really wish we could get it here.

Never had the Bridgeport IPA.

That's a happy picture; those are great beers. Harvest is my least favorite but still better than most.

Btw, off-topic since not American but anyone ever drink Scaldis Noel 12% ABV - it's my favorite beer to hunt down during Christmas. I love it.

I walked three blocks to whole foods, opened up this thread, and started looking. I've had Rogue and Stone before, just not sure I've had these. I just hope I don't end up drinking all of them tonight.

Its only 3:30 man, there's about 12 hrs of potential drinking time left. I'll probably drink 2 tonight, drink a few tomorrow out in the pool.
