It's tough to make a standout gumbo with 39 other teams. We're in to win it, but it's a good time regardless.

With this weather you would have to have a damn good excuse to miss the roux rally. I am looking forward to the live music, beers, gumbo, and our 1st place trophy.

The kid and I are coming to enjoy.

I have a friend on a team , but I'm not biased.

It should be a beautiful day for a ton of gumbo

Thought we had a real shot... Probably the best gumbo we've ever cooked. looks like the judges were looking for something different

Other than that it was a great time and perfect weather. Looking forward to next year

I went by the rally kinda late this evening... around 2:30 or 3 but it seemed like a great event. I'll plan to be here next year for sure

Yeah man I thought ours was really good and honestly one of the better ones but it's tough to judge when you taste 40 gumbos. Just gotta do what you can and hope you catch the judges off guard in a good way. We had a really good smoke flavor that a lot of people recognized and enjoyed, but maybe the judges weren't into it. Awesome weather and an awesome day. Finished it with some car bombs at Happys and some oysters at Jolie Pearl. See ya next year

I didn't get out to taste many, but the Dudley seafood gumbo was excellent.

Gonna try to incorporate something different to help us stand out next year... too many chicken and sausages out there.

My buddies set out to win best party, and they accomplished that goal with the hairbraiding and fireball

If this pic is of your tent, I enjoyed your gumbo. My wife and I liked that one and the tent next to you (farm bureau?) as our top 2. Unfortunately, we failed to read and did not know we had to vote by 1:00. Good job, though
