I've had 6. Todd the Axeman, Homestyle, Julius, Juicy Bits, and now that I'm not looking at the list I don't remember the others.

I believe it's only released once a year (I may be wrong on that, but it's not often). When I showed up at the brewery, the line was wrapped around the block. I just picked up a case of Pliny the Elder and then we drove to Napa/Sonoma.

If you're waiting at the brewery, it can take more than a few hours (Russian River advertises up to eight hours on the weekend), for sure.

I waited about 30 minutes in San Francisco. Wasn't bad and got three pours.

I’ve only had two: Melvin and Tropicalia. Headed to Chicago soon so I’ll add a few.

I had Westbrook Citrus Redacted over the weekend. I was curious as to the name as it had boatloads of orange, but the explanation clears it up. Very good IPA. Its all subjective and especially so when you are talking IPAs.

Beachwood does it differently. They do a raffle. All the money goes towards cancer research. They notify you if you win (they also live stream the raffle.) You have about a 2 week window to claim your pint. You have to show ID and sign for it

The thing in Portland is that it's kept hush-hush as to when it will be available where. You know who will have it, and approximately when they will have it. Just ask the bartender for specifics as the time gets near, and they'll tell you, but ask you to keep it close to the vest.

Then the day comes, and it's a non-event. I mean, it still sells out in one day, usually, but it's not a shite show. The Beermongers had it on as Miller Genuine Draft, one year, and then the next year, it was called "Fight Club".

I had it once at Belmont Station purely on accident. There was about a dozen people in the taproom, and I ordered a Fork Lift by Barley Browns, and the guy next to me ordered Pliny the Younger. I didn't even know it was on tap, because they didn't list it on their board. Needless to say, PTY was the next beer that I ordered. Belmont actually had it on tap for two days, it was so low key.
