This has gotten out of control and seemingly the new normal.

Around February this year the wife and I stopped at a local restaurant in the N.O. area known for their good food and we saw a sign saying they once again had oysters on the menu.

I felt like having an oyster po-boy and looking at the menu it said "Market Price" while all other sandwiches were priced, so I inquire about the price of the oyster po-boy and was told $25---------I passed and got a shrimp po-boy for $16 instead.

The price of oysters are as fickle as the price of crawfish in the spring. They charge whatever people are willing to pay. Last time I checked, mini-sacks were in the $55 and up range and you'd be lucky to get 8 dozen out of the sack.

Yeah most of that shite is built into the system. Hell in the 90s I worked at a snoball stand and we hat a tip jug. Didn’t expect anything but if someone wanted to leave some change or whatever then bonus. Same thing at most of these places.
