Sorry to let down any of you who were looking for Outback.
It's not on the list, but I thought I read somewhere that someone was going to be moving in and doing something interesting at the old Maple Cafe building in the West End area.

yeah, nothing gets me overly excited on that list.
The boilhouse on the lake (which I already knew was happening) is pretty interesting.
I'm sure my wife will be interested in Effervescence.

Even with the power of TD they will get their clicks.

The Ricobono kids are opening up a loungey "elevated bar food" type place for adults to drink in lake view. Doesn't look particularly interesting.

I'm sure it's not going to blow anyone's socks off, but I like the concept. We like to dine sometimes in the Bucktown/West End area and this seems like a nice addition.
I get bored with all of the new orleans style seafood places out that way and have been wanting some place to get wine and unique appetizers.
I thought Station 6 might be something that would work, but they aren't much on appetizers and the place is so small that it's a pain to get into quite often.

Saffron Nola is going to explode
It will be the hot "hip" restaurant
Ethnic, but not too ethnic to scare people away. More Indian infused, much like shaya is for Med.

We did a similar new school Indian place in London called Dishoom which is wildly popular there. Lines around the block sometimes.
My wife got sick as a dog. I doubt I can get her to ever try Indian again.

I don't think I get this concept. Both seafood boil and coffee have such unique aromatic qualities, I don't see how they really co exist.
Posted on 12/28/16 at 3:20 pm to SCTmo
I think the coffee is for people on the Lakefront in the morning and the boil is for the afternoon and night.

I'm interested in Lula, Saffron, Taceaux Loceaux, and Z'kaya. Mostly Saffron though, I've been waiting for good Indian (...open more than one night a week).
