Brandt's Maisonette
Little Village
Louisiana Lagniappe
Ruffinos
Mansurs or Maison Lacour (play in)
Dempsey's or Sammy's (play in)
Anthony's Italian Deli
Albashas
Maybe Opies as a low seed too.

Ginos is the best Italian place in the state in my estimation.

For all the places you've named (except maybe Albashas), I could come up with at least 15-20 better comparable places in New Orleans alone.

Not enough for Uptown. Who gets left off? Lilette, Gautreau's, Brigtsen's, Patois, Clancy's, Jamilla's, Vizard's, Boucherie, Vincent's, and I am sure I am missing atleast a few others. Maybe we need categories for each region, not just best restuarants.

Havnet made it official though.

I like Gino's but I include Little Village because of the steak and Ruffino's is fairly solid but I wouldnt have a problem replacing it with Ginos either.

At large bids if you're really adamant about a restaurant. Uptown isn't all that. Casamento's, Clancy, Brigsten's, Le Crepe Nanou would be my choices. Maybe JaquemImo's for an at large bid.

you could fill an entire bracket from the NOLA metro area but tough choices are going to have to be made.

I could legitimately fill the entire 12 slot at large group with restaurants from the Acadiana area and leaving out any in Lafayette Parish, but that doesnt make it right

somebody has to be in the NIT

Metairie, Kenner, River Ridge, Harahan, Old Jefferson, Bucktown. That's a whole lot of people, but you're right. I'm dropping it down to 6.

That's weak. I don't live in San Sebastian, Spain, but I still recognize it as the one of the best restaurant cities in the world.

Living here has nothing to do with it.

4 from Uptown should be as follows:

Commander's Palace
Clancy's
Brigtsen's

and either Hansen's or Cassamento's or Gautreau's

Maybe do a tournament for New Orleans and a tournament for Baton Rouge... According to NOMenu.com, currently New Orleans has 996 Restaurants Now Open - I think it would be a breeze to pick 64 for New Orleans alone.

You could do it as a spin-off, but this is for the whole Boot enchilada.

The committee will make these decisions. But we appreciate everyone's input.

Commander's and Brigtsen's in non-negotiable.
