This will work much like the NCAA Tournament. I have already configured the number of placements each location gets. I will not be a part of the seeding or voting process. For that, the LART Selection Committee will be in control. Once the Selection Committee is decided, we will have another thread where anyone can nominate restaurants that should be included. The final say, including the restaurant's seed, will be determined by the Selection Committee.

We first need to decide on who the ten Selection Committee members will be. So far, nine are chosen. One (Shreveport/Monroe/Alexandria) remains unfilled.

2 from New Orleans proper (glassman and clooneyisgod)
1 New Orleans suburbs (Brock Landers)
1 Northshore (Tiger Attorney)
1 Baton Rouge (Catman)
1 Lafayette (supatigah)
1 Lake Charles (LSUZombie)
2 Shreveport/Monroe/Alexandria (LSUGUMBO, ?)
1 Houma/Thibodaux (Coon)

Nominate potential Selection Committee members for the unfilled spots below in this thread.

The committee is responsible for filling in the following restaurant locales:

8 from the French Quarter/Warehouse District New Orleans
5 from Uptown
3 from Mid-City/Lakeview
1 from Gentilly/NO East/8th Ward/9th Ward
1 from Chalmette
5 from East Jefferson (Kenner, Metry, Jefferson, River Ridge)
2 from West Jefferson (Gretna, Marrerro, Westwego, Avondale, Grand Isle)
4 from the Northshore.
5 from Baton Rouge
3 from Lafayette/Opelousas
2 from Acadiana
1 from Lake Charles
2 from Alexandria
3 from Shreveport
2 from Monroe
2 from Houma/Thibodaux
15 at large bids.

It is up to the committee to determine how a restaurant is chosen.

Once the committee has chosen and seeded the restaurants, we will begin with 16 head-to-head matchups in the first day, followed by 16 head-to-head matchups in the second day. Each restaurant match up will get its own thread, and votes will be counted and the restaurant with more votes advances to the next round.

May the best restaurant win.

that would way too heavy of a NOLA flavor. You need some more diversity/knowledge of other parts of the state.

Whom do you propose for the Selection Committee?

2 should be New Orleans proper (glassman and niknik)
1 New Orleans suburbs (Tiger Attorney )
1 Northshore ?
1 Baton Rouge (Catman)
1 Lafayette ?
1 Lake Charles ?
2 Shreveport/Monroe/Alexandria ?
1 Houma/Thibodaux ?

Who would fit in each of these categories?

This thread has potential. The TulaneLSU guy is a jackass, but I'll give him props here for sure. Two thumbs up.

I'm pretty well versed in some of the finer cuisine of the S'port/Bossier area.

For shame!

The selection should be done while raising the flag, people!

I am just going to go on record early for so low seeded spoilers that will make their way through the bracket...both I have in mind are from the Kenna brah.

FWIW

NOLA metro= the Big East
BR= the SEC (one tournament win...jk BR folk)

Stella!/August= Duke/UNC

This thread will ruin my billables this week. I like the idea.
