Dearman's is the nastiest place I have eaten and I used to love their burgers.

I always thought people just went there for nostalgia purposes.

I went one time and one of the lady cooks got into a disagreement with what I would assume was the manager. She screams at the manager and says, "and that tuna salad we are seving has been in the fridge for over a week".

Another time I was there I brought a client. I had bragged to him how good the burgers were. He takes a bite of his and pulls out a long arse hair. He tells the staff and they bring him another. Second bite and another hair. It was at this point where I gave up on them.

I always enjoyed Fairwayview burgers though.

Company Burger isn't even the best burger on its block. Overrated.

Its really sad how pathetic that place is now. I would go there all the time as a kid and loved their burgers, fries, fountain cokes, and shakes. I went recently and it was the worst burger I've had in a long time.

I wouldn't put Dearman's on the 10 best burgers in BR list, let alone LA.

Gullos

I grew up on Flournoy Lucas and back in the day before it was built up with all these neighborhoods I used to ride my 4 wheeler to Gullo's to get a burger and a chocolate chip cookie. They were eventually surpassed as best burger in Shreveport by Rollin' In The Dough, IMO but still cool to see a little piece of my childhood nostalgia come to life via a Thrillist article.

Cheese and bacon are an upcharge, but a fried egg is not. I think that's strange.

List are not good for this sort of topic, however, you could make a top ten burger list in New Orleans and phil's might not be on there, but this board gives Phil's way too much hate. It's one of the best burgers in Metairie along with Swamp Room, Lagers, Dragos (They do a good burger!!!)

I don't even agree with that. Maybe the 3 times I had it were all anomalies, but they'll never see another dime from me. And they certainly are nowhere near top 10 of the entire state.

True.

I'm sort of glad they made the list, though. I think they are the most iconic burgers in the state.
