How dare we protect 1 million + people's lives and sacrifice the property of 2,500 people who were already informed of the risks?

Look, it absolutely sucks in regard to what's about to happen, but this guy has to know the consequences of flooding the basin or flooding New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

I hope that was just emotions talking.

tells me all I need to know. Pretty soon the National Enquirer will surpass them in credibility.

If we let the city flood, then we would be racists.

I say we give them what they want and let North BR flood.

PMSnbc hates LSU, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.

of course its his emotions talking. I'm sure when his house is flooding with at least 5ft of water he will say to himself at least Baton Rouge & New Orleans will be ok.

it isn't just MSNBC trying to sensationalize this decision. Both FOXnews and CNN have had anchors openly question the "intentional flooding" of the Basin.

Although, MSNBC seems to have the most sand in their collective vag.

This article infuriated me too. Funny how they don't mention until the end that if Baton Rouge and New Orleans happened to flood, refineries that produce 12% of the nation's gas will be flooded too, oh and a nuclear power plant.

Correct, but Terrebonne is subject to backflooding of the spillway.
