It surely isn't too bad. My brother made over ten grand this week hauling dirt for levees in the Morgan City/Amelia area.

Got to give the guy mad props. Thankfully he doesn't have the force of two major raging rivers like the people in south Louisiana have to endure

dirt aint cheap. I watched it again, and I impressed with the entire design.

Wonder if the Corps is going to jump his tail for not having a section 404 permit.

The amount of time, money, and energy he spent building that he could have just emptied everything of value from his home and paid his flood insurance deductible.

I just don't get it...you live in a flood plain, but don't have flood insurance. How in the hell do you even get a home loan?

Not everybody has a mortgage.
30 years of flood insurance could buy a home.
Roll of the dice.

If you have a loan it is mandatory!
