So sorry for your loss. He was one of my favorite posters and I indeed enjoyed sharing a laugh with him. He sounds like a truly remarkable man who lived a good life. God bless you and your brother, and thank you for taking the time to tell us about him.

Damn!!!! I was just laughing at some of his work on here the other day!!!! He had a great way of looking at things, his farks were great!!! So sorry to hear about your loss, and he will be missed by many on this board. All you have to do is look back at his post history. Look at all of the thanks, good job, lols, and so on so see how many people he touched.
Prayers sent. Sounds like he was a great father. You and your brother were truely blessed.

I never come to the Fark board (this thread was linked on Poli Talk) so I don't really remember Ashman at all.
But I read your post, and just wanted to offer my condolences. 46 is too damn young. But he sounds like a great guy, and I'm glad you have such great memories of him.
Prayers and best wishes for you and your family

It is obvious that your Dad was a good father. Prayers and best wishes to you and your Brother.
The loss of great love changes us in ways that nothing else can. And in my humble opinion, for what it is worth, you and you father will continue your fruitful relationship together beyond a time that seems a mere blink of the eye. And we will all be better for it.
Thanks for sharing you love. We need all we can get in these days.
God speed Ashman.

Guy just made me a gif that I was asking to make fun of Alabama. His own team. Takes a special kind of guy to look at the humor a few days after the loss. This game isn't bigger than life. To Ashman!

I don't recall your fathers posts off of the top of my head so I didn't know him well but I do recall his name. What you wrote tells me all I need to know about what kind of father he was though and that tells me all I need to know about what kind of man he was.
Any father that reads your words is wishing to themselves that when they die their kids will respect them as much as you respected your father. It is obvious that your father was proud of you and you are still making him proud. I am sorry for your loss, I lost my father when we was only 48, but it will get easier with time. Carry on and be the man you were raised to be and you will be just fine.
