Based on this the only player I “overpaid” for was CMC.
But he went (in Tiger) for the same cost as Chase Brown & Jon Taylor. Josh Jacobs got a premium there.
If CMC is healthy most of this season STTBD got great value.

It just seems Tiger had 9 or 10 guys all go pure tier based strategy. So many of the bids ended up between 2 guys very early instead of having 4 guys going at it. I know I was willing to let some guys go because I felt I could get another player in the same tier for cheaper. In the past I've just paid up for the 2 or 3 guys that I wanted and let the rest fall, but I tried something different this year.
The only two I specifically targeted were Egbuka and Jameson. That's the main reason Jameson went for so much. The other guy wanted him more and had the budget to spare.

I didn't mean to draft Saquon, and that $ hurt when I was trying to get a couple of 2nd/3rd round RBs. I was clicking at like $57 because I knew he would hit $60. Suddenly I had him for $61. 
Not a big deal as I like him and that's where he should be. Just not the build i was going for.

One of the guys in Tiger was trying to drive up the price on Josh Allen and ended up getting him for $30. Not bad value at all, only problem was he already had Hurts for $20.

I bid up Achane and "got caught". TDFL is an amazing testament for true FF prowess.
I love other friends strategy so much... you never know in a league like this.

I don't remember who, but I fricked up someone by manually entering an amount.
I don't even do this to specifically "bid up" guys, bust just to save time. Don't frick around with a guy like Barkley in the 20s. Start in the mid-40s or 50s and save some time.
They got caught after I did that and thought they had connection issues
I did get caught bidding up Nabors, but $51 isn't too bad for him.

I did a 4 QB by accident (not paying attention/life stuff) and Voodoo called me out (love that bro, we play in so many leagues), and I was like you know SFP drafts QBs and wins TDFL.

I get caught bidding up guys too often, but am usually okay if I win.
Last season I got Josh for ~$17 and was kind of pissed.

Yeah I used to just go with value for value's sake.
Traditionally I did that until this year (where I went with a more polarized approach), but I would not over-buy QBs. Typically I will pay top money for a QB or TE. The last time I won, I had both (Mahomes and Kelce, IIRC, but I was a year ahead of TEs getting premium bidding).
I did have a good team last year with the value approach but injuries fricked me. In the Sleeper Auction league (RIP), too.
I play in a 16-team league with team QBs, and I'm known for drafting 3 in that one. The QB out-scores all other positions, so if you have a bye week without a QB you're losing.

As for this league....completely whiffed on the tier 1 guys and just did my best after that. A bit disappointed. Then again I've loved my teams after drafts and they ended up being arse.
