its funny rondo is complaining about an irrelevant trade with spencer hawes and speights when the trade he just made in our baseball league is one of the worst ive seen in any of these leagues over the years

I know nothing about the TDBL. I just know that if Speights for Hawes has four objections, there's not a trade that's not unobjectionable that has ever been made in this league.

1. If rouge didn't want to keep 6 pitchers, Carp was the most reasonable one to move.

2. He offered it to me.

dude, Hawes sucks. He is no better. Im taking Speights over Hawes.

nothing malicious about that trade at all

and this type of opinion posturing should be irrelevant.

When object/approve comes up you should ask yourself two questions...

a) does there look like collusion/do both owners honestly want what they're getting?
b) Is the trade unfair and unbalanced to the point that it undermines the credibility, competition and fun for the rest of the league?

its a lot more fishy than Hawes for Speights.

If it happened during the season, it wouldn't go through. Im almost confident. You got lucky.

And i really cant believe Stout is selling already. NOt even at half way point. Thats what i dont like about this league. Come on stoutmire. shite. You could just as easily go the other way and try and build your team as you could by selling

Ultimately this trade is more inconsequential and should not be stopped. Just seems pointless for McCain - he's really getting nothing. I can't see Speights being/becoming a keeper.

I think Ron was in the same situation last year when rmc proposed that lopsided trade to him. I'm pretty sure you were against that.

im also almost 100% certain that bjl tried to go behind my back and offer rick a deal similar to the one we had in place

Tbh if mccain came here and said thinks speights had sleeper keeper quality, I'd think he was dumb and move on.

no joke.

But that's his team. and he can do what he wants with it. I think that trade is far more objectionable than speights/hawes.

We need to clarify these rules

Speights is a 20/10/1.5 blk guy per 36 minutes

chcek the numbers. When he eventually gets time, McCain is gonna have a gem if that happens this season

Hawes doesnt have half of the upside

I was fine with this trade. Mccain has always had a hard-on for project-type players.

That being said, karma, you have no room to talk. You vetoed the boozer for jackson trade last year and even admitted it was because I got jackson and you didn't. You also led the charge against rick and the cat's deal. I am glad to see that you have changed your tune, because trades shouldn't be vetoed unless they're clearly lopsided.

mccain shouldn't have to prove anything to you, or defend what he wants to do with his own team.

Does hawes have sleeper keeper quality? Can he not do what he wants with his own team? what if he just likes speights better than hawes?

we're not talking about CP3 for duhon.

frick man.

after your trade got rejected, I most definitely tried to go and even the scales and get the trade pieces.

but i tried to even the scales. that's fair play.

you and lester were the RINGLEADERS of that veto, and then after the veto, you decided to go and try to do the same thing, just like lester did. i really dont put much stock in to anything you are saying in this thread fyi

The teams out of it can't be minor league systems for the contenders imo

doubtful. And I don't remember that trade.
i always operate on the same sensibilities that I've listed. Is it collusion and is fair enough to not hurt the competition of the league.

i think stout could still do work if he made some moves. the trade today wasn't horible for right now

stout, however, did prove that you could sell off and put yourself in a great position last year. he was a "minor league" team, but he did pretty well this year rebuilding his team. he just got unlucky and made some questionable decisions on waiting on griffen

I liked how you lied during the tdfl draft and held it up for an hour.
