and, if you remember correctly, other people were trying to get him. people were offering him shite, and he chose boozer (who is still one of his keepers).

the draft bullshite is irrelevant. that was me being bored in a realtime conversation with you guys.

and it wasn't me trying to be unfair.

i remember vaguely ron's trade. I thought it was horribly unfair and unbalanced to the point of unfair competition. It was not a who helps who situation. or I don't see what's happening here. It was unbalanced. And I said that if he shaped it up and tipped the scales more evenly, then it should pass.

how can you judge even in a keeper league

rick was getting the best two players out of the deal, including a top 5 player overall

he improved himself for next year, and i was trying to make a push for this season

you have to take keepers into context when evaluating trades

was the lakers trade with memphis fair for the rest of the league that year? no, but it was mutually beneficial

No its not - that was one of the shittiest things I've ever seen done during a draft - you lied to try and reset the draft so you could change your pick. You stopped the entire draft for 30 minutes. It shows a you to be self serving to the point you lied. Then you come back and say, "haha guys I was just kidding". Whatever, karma, you've never fully explained that or apologized for it. And frankly I can't see how anyone could overlook that episode. It colors everything you do moving forward.

ron, that's my only assessment when it comes to trades. I said that if the scales were tipped more evenly i'd not object.

the lakers and grizzlies have a salary cap which is a built in mechanism for making the trades even, and the numbers have to match up for it to be okay with the league.

me objecting to your trade with the rick was the equivalent of saying that the numbers did not add up in the trade machine.
