I’d take Gordon over LF

It's an unpopular opinion amongst my league mates, but I would as well. Especially in PPR.

LF is down to the weight he ran all over the SEC as a soph. I think I read 225. Will put up monster numbers over a healthy 16

What ab the stacked boxes?
I’m not really a Gordon fan but his OL is upgraded and you know what ya gonna get. Think he deserves the benefit of the doubt

What about Austin Ekeler? Wouldn’t be surprised if he became their passing game back
Fournette is used to the stacked boxes, he’ll be better equipped to handke them at this weight. I think he’ll catch more passes too and you know he isn’t coming out on the goaline. If the pass game opens up he becomes a monster
Honestly I think his floor is Gordon’s ceiling. Making it a no brainer for me.

That's ambitious.

Don’t see eky carving out that role
Not counting buga out by any means but he has a lot to prove year 2

Ekeler caught 27 balls last year and didnt see offensive snaps in 3 games. He is a good back

Ekeler is no more a threat to eat at the RB1’s workload than Latavius in Minny or Gio in Cincy

6
is the best spot to pick from imo
This. If you pick in the middle you will get less talent gone before you pick, than anyone else. I've always enjoyed it.
Picking 1st guarantees you 3 players in the top 25 ranking. But those players aren't guaranteed to perform according to the ranking. You obviously get your choice in the number 1 player but the #1 ranked RB seldom ever becomes the #1 guy so it makes no sense. You can say it's the safe play but there us a higher chance that someone else will draft the number 1 back later.
So I say 6 all day every day

Mixon out-touched Bernard last year 208-149
He missed 2 games.
He played 39% of the snaps to Bernard's 50%.
I could see Mixon's snaps increasing almost 50%. Even if its a 30% increase, that puts him in bellcow status as far as touches
Cooks pass catching vaults him over Gordon for me. I really think Ekeler cuts into Gordon's role as a pass catcher. Which steals valuable points away in the passing game. I dont think Murray does that to Cook. And I think Mixon becomes featured guy.

Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt said Gordon's role in the passing offense could expand even more for the upcoming season, particularly with the loss of Hunter Henry for the year because of an ACL injury to his right knee.
"We can do some different things because Melvin has become such a good receiver out of the backfield," Whisenhunt said. "And that's not something that you saw from him in college. Not that he couldn't do it; they just didn't throw him the ball. He was too busy running for 8 million yards or whatever it was he was running for.
He’s been working with LT on his receiving as well

"Truly that's the first thing I thought about when Hunter went down, is Melvin is going to have to become a weapon in the passing game," Tomlinson said. "Hunter makes easy throws for Philip, easy first downs and easy red zone targets. Now somebody has to pick up that role, and that can be Melvin. Even if it's screen plays or little pivot routes out of the backfield on one-on-one matchups, he needs to be able to provide those for Philip more so than ever because Hunter is down."

Melvin Gordon has been in on 25-of-29 first-string snaps this preseason. Includes 4-of-5 third-down snaps

I just did 2 this weekend from the 7 and 8 hole and it was pretty good, got to go stud RB and stud WR, team is pretty balanced which is what I prefer.
I usually don't like the middle but this year it's pretty good and offers the most balance IMO.

I pick 4 in a 10 team. I’m hoping a good player will still be there on the turn in Round 2. Id gladly take McCaffrey or Freeman assuming the WRs go.
This board talked me into David Johnson, especially the thread Lester and Gyno had.

I have him at 6, all in if the ankle holds up, could lead the position in touches.

Going 7th in a 10 man .5 PPR league.
I know the "big 4" RBs will be gone along with most likely AB and AK.
Hate not to go RB with either Barkley/Gordon/LF but it'll be enticing to grab Hopkins there.

True to form, I picked 12th and wound up with a WR heavy roster and reached on a couple of different players.

I’m going seventh as well but Kamara is a keeper. So I’m debating LF, Gordon or Hopkins in the first.

I’m picking 6th in a 20-team league and I’m pretty happy with it
