Anyone think that is a good idea? Had a friend saying he thinks he'll go off and have the best year.

He is worth considering for that top spot along with Foster and Rice. I prefer Rice due to the fact that the ravens offense IS rice.

you know, can't really go wrong with McCoy.

Foster scares me with Tate sitting there eating into carries to keep foster fresh.

As far as Back-ups and splits... no one's talking about Bryce Brown(mcCoy's back-up)

quote:

Eagles selected Kansas State RB Bryce Brown with the No. 229 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
The former number one high school recruit in the country, ahead of Trent Richardson, Brown could never find a home in college. Before leaving college early, Brown sat out most of last season and only carried the ball three times for 16 yards. He even threatened to skip college altogether and go straight into the CFL. Brown possesses 4.48 speed and produced 22 bench press reps but this is a major project for the Eagles, on and off the field.

no film on the guy, but he was supposed to be the shite. And for Andy Reid to grab him, i think there might be something there. because all there is left is 5'8" Dion Lewis backing up McCoy

But they say he's a project.

The Ravens spent a 3rd round pick on Bernard Pierce, so that was a bigger investment, than the 7th round pick for McCoy's back-up, so I guess they would plan to put him on the field a bit more than McCoy's back-up.

So I'd say McCoy is a solid 1st to lead the league in Fan Points.

McCoy #1 is a solid pick.

The top 3 RB's (McCoy, Foster, Rice) could all go number 1 and the separation between them is fairly small. It is really a personal preference when you select between them. Take the player you like and don't look back.

Agreed. Barring a significant injury, the fantasy points total differential btw the 3 players should be +/- 5%. You can't go wrong.

I like McCoy. He was 2nd pick last year and helped me win my league. With that being said, he had a career year. Don't know if anyone should expect him to repeat that. Alot of weapons in Philly yaherd

He is worth a look especially in PPR, however I don't think he will repeat 20 TDs. Would rather Foster and Rice over him in a standard league.

so, hypothetically speaking, if you had pick 4, who would you go with?? brees? brady? manning? a different RB?

I think Rodgers or Brees get the nod at 4. I don't typically like drafting QBs high, but it's hard to ignore a consistent 25 pts every week.

I like Foster just barely over McCoy. Like someone said, bunch of weapons in philly and its not likely a scat back like him will repeat 20 TDs. Foster is going to continue to get his goal line touches in a way weaker division. Ben Tate has been there the whole time and Foster is still tearing it up

McCoy averages like 60 catches a year.

That enough makes him the #1 RB in PPR leagues. Throw in a career YPC around 5 and he is the best RB of the bunch. And he has no competition.

Bryce Brown - RB - Eagles
The Philadelphia Inquirer considers the race to backup LeSean McCoy "wide open."
No. 229 pick Bryce Brown appears to be making the most headway on Dion Lewis. "He's extraordinary in that with his size, he has little-man skills," RBs coach Ted Williams said of Brown. "He's strong. I can't wait to see him in pads and see how physical he's going to be." It sounds like Brown has a significant leg up on fellow rookie Chris Polk, but he'll have to be impressive in preseason games to truly challenge Lewis.

BilJ, some people play in more than 8 man leagues, and some may even be in dynasty leagues where grabbing someone who may be something 2-3 years down the road happens.
