Is a verbal fantasy trade binding? Or does it have to be accepted thru the computer?

Player 1 verbally offers Kupp to Player 2 for Chubb and Player 2 says yes
Player 2 realizes Kupp is headed for IR and backs out of “verbal” agreement.

Did you shake hands? Did you spit in your hand before shaking? Blood pact? Details matter.

In any verbal agreement, there is an underlying understanding that each party will deliver their part of the agreement at the official exchange or signing date in a condition similar to the time of the verbal.
In this case, the Kupp owner could not deliver so the Chubb owner has every right to walk away.

I dont think you can enforce a trade that wasn’t officially offered and accepted in the system.

This happened to me one time. Dude agreed to the trade, but never accepted it. Next day he claimed drunkenness. I was pissed, but didn’t push the issue and just never tried to trade with him again.

Why would player 1 back out he’s getting Chubb for an injured kupp that might not be right the whole season.
I smash accept without thinking about it if I’m player 1

That’s what I’m trying to figure out as well. I’d take Chubb for about anyone right now and ESPECIALLY for a gimpy Kupp.

Only if a very firm handshake was engaged, with both men looking directly looking into each others eyes as they nodded in mutual approval of said trade.

Yeah player 2 backed out bc he realized Kupp was hurt

So, he got new information and changed his mind? I'm shocked. This kind of thing happens in daily life.

Going through the computer is the equivalent of signing documents in a contract. Until signatures are there, it’s all just talk.

Verbal is not binding. Isn’t official until the trade goes through on the cpu

Always send the trade as you are talking about it. Pretty dumb of player 2 to not be aware of that.

Bump. Wondering what ended up happening on this?
