Intentionally throwing a game to get a better playoff matchup

Anyone ever done anything like this? Sure it seems like a chicken shite move, but I'm at a point where if I drop a seed or two I'd be matched up against a team worse than if I won this week.
I know projections don't mean shite, but I could potentially face someone projected at 130 or someone with 110

Same exact situation for me. I have the playoffs and a bye locked up, and I really wanna lose to who might be the lowest seed so I can maybe face him later somehow. Other playoff teams have Zeke/Bell on one. DJ, Mike Evans and Brees on another... do not want those guys.
EDIT: But I can't bring myself to intentionally lose. I'm trying to have the overall career best record anyway. Let's win out, baws

bullshite. It's strategy that is helping your own odds, particularly in big money leagues. Another scenario being a good team is fighting for a final playoff spot against your average opponent. Perfectly acceptable to throw the game. They should've won more games during the season. Your winning has put you in a situation to do that. FF is 80% luck, 10% knowledge, and 10% strategy.
There's money on the line, I'm going to give myself the best chance to win it if I am in a position to do so

I think it's ok as long as you still start a full line up. As in, don't leave starting spots empty, that would be chicken shite.
Also, I think I said this in another thread, make sure you know that your leaguemates will understand this strategy and not whine too much about it (other than giving you shite, which is warranted) don't want a move like this to fracture a league.

As long as you're still fielding a team, it's perfectly fine and good strategy.
I always try to compare FF to real football when debating things like this. Is it OK for a real team that's locked up a playoff spot to rest their players? Yes. They are doing what's best for them. Would it be OK for a real team to just not show up and forfeit? No, the league would hit them so hard with penalties for that.
So, sitting all your players and leaving starting positions empty = not cool
Starting backups and benching starters = perfectly fine
ETA: I'm not doing it in the league where I've clinched my first round bye, but I'd have no problem with someone else doing it.

In 2012 I was in a similar position.
My brother had AP and Megatron. They were both having career years and had insanely favorable matchups for the first part of the playoffs. Anyone who wanted a chance at the championship had to avoid him those weeks.(he did end up being the highest scoring team by a wide margin those 2 weeks)
I considered my situation of trying to slide away from him in the bracket but the field played out differently than I expected. Had I tanked on purpose I would have slid right into his bracket. I played to win that week and the right people won/loss that week to knock me away from him.
I won the Championship that year because I avoided him...but had I set my lineup to avoid him I would have gotten smashed.

I did it one year when dropping to the 6-seed gave me a much better matchup against the 3-seed and then the 2-seed, because both the other teams in the 4-5-6 group with me were far better than the 2-3 group just had bad luck to that point.
I ended up making the finals vs. the 3 then 2... got beat in the end, but it worked as expected.
