What do you do with someone who will intentionally lose to someone in the last week so that opponent makes the playoffs?
the intentional loser is already in the playoffs.

Have the commish come out and say any team which attempts to collude to let another team win will result in both teams getting kicked out of the league.

Are you talking about fantasy basketball? Maybe he was confused and thought Kobe was elligible at 3 guard.

I'm tied for first place in our league. This week I play the other guy in first (we both have locked up first round byes). I might try to throw the game to make sure I'm on the opposite side of the bracket as the most dangerous team in the league.

I really dont have a problem with it as long as him and the other player havent formed some 50/50 deal if they win.

If its just the player trying to get a better matchup then by all means he can do it. If hes doing something sketchier than that, then I'd prob say something.

Wouldn't you be on opposite sides either way?

Ehhh if it's a strategic move to keep someone out of the playoffs tough to argue. He's won enough games to put his team in a position to afford to do it.

it's not strategic, if it was he'd want to win, not lose.

Nothing could ever make me lose intentionally in FF. I fricking hate losing. I want as many wins as possible, even if I'm 2-10

It does matter what his reasoning supposedly is, it's clear he's helping his dad which should be explicitly against the rules in any league bc it's collusion. You are expected to play your "best" roster in a attempt to win every single week. It's BS if you don't. You play. To win. The game.

What reasonable person would forgo a chance at a bye? That's BS and would never fly in any of my leagues.
