Falcons HC Arthur Smith said he doesn't know if Calvin RIdley will be available Sunday. Declined to get into specifics or particulars on any potential Ridley return or conversations they've had with him. (Basically giving him time to work things out is how I read that)

All things considered this is decent news for Ridley owners. I was waiting on the “out for season” posts soon.

Sources: #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 and is out for Sunday’s game against the #Chiefs.

My opponent has Dillon and I may start Gore.

Feel like this is better for him than me.

#Giants RB Saquon Barkley tested positive for COVID-19 on his initial test, source said, and he is one of several players being retested. He is vaccinated, so he needs two negative tests within 24 hours and no symptoms to play if his positive is confirmed.

Guy can’t catch a break

ETA:

Saquon Barkley is not alone. Several more Giants players tested positive this morning after the team gave everyone rapid tests following their Tuesday COVID scare. Those players have taken PCR tests and the Giants expect to get those results tonight.

Why not trade him before the deadline? Honestly, I don’t understand the implications for contract and money. But it seems trading him would be more valuable than releasing.

quote:

*IF* the Browns release OBJ he'd then be subject to waivers.

If claimed, a new team would inherit his deal:

2021: $8.05M
2022: $13.75M salary, $1M roster bonus, $250K workout bonus
2023: $13.75M salary, $1M roster bonus, $250K workout bonus

2022-2023 are non-guaranteed.

49ers anticipated practice report today: DNP - DT Maurice Hurst, FS Jimmie Ward LT Trent Williams, WR Deebo Samuel, RB Elijah Mitchell

TE George Kittle, K Robbie Gould, RB Jeff Wilson Jr. all have their practice windows opened and will participate in today's workout.

Though Elijah Mitchell, who’s dealing with a rib injury, won’t practice Wednesday, the 49ers do hope that he’ll be out there this week.

I wouldn’t panic about his status for Sunday vs. AZ

Darren Waller back at practice.

But I saw this on Rotoworld
quote:

he Giants had 13 positives come back Tuesday, and all 13 were retested Wednesday, with only the team's RBs coach to test positive again. Vaccinated, Barkley will need another negative test in order to play Week 9 against the Raiders. That's if he's over the sprained ankle. The Giants have a bye next week.

I got the alert that I posted right before I posted it. So, that would have been after 3:30. It's confusing as hell.

More Barkley info. Could Schef have been wrong?
quote:

SNY's Ralph Vacchiano added that his sources told him Barkley's second test was positive. This directly contradicts a previous report from Schefter that said of the 13 Giants players who were re-tested today, only one returned a positive result. Barkley is vaccinated so he can return after two negative tests, 24 hours apart, but the second positive result doesn't look good for his odds of playing in Week 9. He's also dealing with an ankle injury that could just as easily have kept him from suiting up. Fantasy managers should plan for another week of Devontae Booker as the starter. Booker is averaging 17.3 touches per game with Barkley out and projects for RB2 numbers versus the Raiders.

I'd offered Booker to the Barkley owner for CEH in one of my leagues on Monday. He didn't respond quick enough and I withdrew it yesterday.

Bet he wishes he'd stayed on top of his offers.

In regard to the #Giants' statement, there's hope in the building RB Saquon Barkley, OL Matt Skura and DB Xavier McKinney are all false positives. Those players are still being tested, perhaps through tomorrow. As for Barkley, he still has the ankle injury that's a concern.
