Thinking about cleaning pools instead? I think your clients will get over it. Go for it.

Why would you skip an upgrade to stay with a company run by morons?

Also, what happens when you turn down this good opportunity and 1 month later your boss leaves for a new job?

New job is less money but might be happier

Also I think part of my struggle of being so busy is covid related

But yeah think time to move. They cut my pay and market ooporrunies came more attractive. Supposedly pay is coming back

I worked in a god-forsaken hospital in Ruston for a while. My supervisor, on a whim, came in and told me I had to cut an FTE. Told him, we couldn't in the technical area and we were at minimum staffing in the non-technical. On a whim, with no statistics to back himself up, and we had plenty of stats, I let go a 35 year employee that was the sole supporter of his invalid wife and very sick daughter. The man had no skills other than what he did for us. My supervisor name was tripp, or something like that, a really stupid person. Bottom line- you're just a number to corporate, leave if you want.

I currently work in Monroe. I hate this shite arse place.

Unfortunately, I relate to more of your story but will have to keep other details to myself. I sympathize with you.

For now. I

Perhaps, lots of stories of people finding out the grass isn’t greener after a move though. Many companies have idiots in upper management, so much so I think it may be a prerequisite.

Probably if they are cutting staff to try and make ends meet.

Only you can judge given the info we have. I would imagine most companies that are making temp cuts would go back when they are able.

Make a decision, accept the offer at the other place, give 2 weeks and make the move if that’s what you decide.

why would you think this?

If you would do it in "normal" times, why not now?

We've had a number of people do it while we were all remote. Don't worry about it.

Maybe it's just part of this New Normal we keep hearing about.
