Well I did see woodward at the ULL game this week…so maybe it is him.

Napier is not a playcaller worth mentioning. He has a mediocre, at best, playcaller. After his mediocre stint at Arizona St. no one ever hired him as an OC again until then he became a G5 HC.

Lemme clear that up. Woody was digging around for more information about a candidate NOT currently at Alabama. At Alabama they record everything. If someone farts it gets written down and stored in a binder somewhere.
Why would Woodward ask Saban to recommend which coach has the best chance of beating him? Dude recommended Houston Nutt when he left for Miami.

This dude is going to get himself into a lot of trouble if he tries to inject himself into the proceedings and force a hire.

It appears some of you have a reading comprehension problem.
The earlier comment said that Woodward has a history of hiring coaches from "smaller programs," and he cited Jimbo and Mulkey.
I corrected him, pointing out that Florida State was not a smaller program than Texas A&M (where Woodward hired him).
And neither was Baylor women's basketball than LSU (where Woodward hired her).
Sheesh. Can't believe I had to explain this.
