Mississippi is an open carry but I wouldn't recommend it. Probably asking for trouble.

Nobody said you couldn’t own a gun. Just can’t conceal carry in Louisiana without a permission slip from the government

Congrats. When I learned that I could carry concealed in AZ, I had to call the Department of Public Safety just to be sure. I didn't believe it.
