Why can’t we take a run at Aaron Rodgers?

I really can’t tell if we are rebuilding or making a run “the last hayride” style.

There should be zero doubt by anyone that of Rodgers is our QB for playoff we win the super bowl. Do we have enough of these players left?

Rodgers is not worried about money he wants another ring.

We could trade Winston maybe the draft pic too, plus two first round pics or something in line with that and the Packers would deal. We can do signing bonus whatever and take care of salary. I wish Drew and Rodgers were tighter.

Or if he sits out or retires and Winston throws picks like Mardi Gras beads make the deal week 3 or 4. I have no clue what to expect from this team. Are they 11-3 or 3-11.

He's trying to force a new deal right now for more money.

The Packers could give you a decent trade offer, and the Saints couldn't come up with the money to pay him.

Money does matter, but this situation isn’t about money. He won’t be playing with GB next season. Take that to the bank

I've been watching film on Winston and noticed an area where he can improve his overall play tremendously. If I noticed, surely Payton noticed, and hopefully they get it fixed. If you watch closely, Winston sometimes (most of the time) pats the ball before throwing it. This not only slows down his release, it allows the defenders to anticipate his passes by a step or two. Erasing this problem alone could boost his overall performance to a much higher level. It's obviously a habit he's had since high school, so easier said than done, but it's certainly possible with training exercises.

Nah, I think it’s been a long time coming. It’s multiple things from what I’m seeing. Not saying we land him, but your HOF QB don’t just come out and say he wants out to cave a few months later.

His camp have already leaked that he wants to go to the West Coast

Any team not on that list would be stupid to give up anything of value for him

they could if they wanted to, but to do it you have no money to pay him so to sign him you have to cut MT13 and kamara at minimum and possibly more just to have the money to sign him.

or are you suggesting we can cut all our good players and rogers will win it all by himself with a bunch of scrubbs?

Yea Like I said I’m not sure or positive we would land him. But I know it’s not just money and he definitely won’t be playing with GB next year

Mostly because AR doesn’t want to go to NO he’s a West Coast guy & has made it clear he will ONLY entertain a team close to or on the West Coast. 49ers, Raiders or Broncos!

Total doucheturd. Winston at least has a year under his belt in the Payton system. Saints are trying to keep the core group intact but if we are just mediocre for the next year or two and not good enough to compete for playoffs then the good veterans (Armstrong, C. Jordan, D. Davis, etc...) will want to move elsewhere on good terms or bad. Either Winston figures it out or we suck enough to get a top 5-10 draft pick. Finishing mid pack will absolutely do nothing for Saints.

Nice find; should be relatively easy to deprogram by tying down his left hand for a few thousand throws

No, this comes from a laundry list of issues with the GB organization that we even know of. Fired his QB coach without consulting with him. They had a WR last year that was going to be the 3rd WR, spent all offseason together working on routes etc. Aaron praises his work ethic, and says he cant wait to work with this guy next season, and GB cuts him the very next day without even telling him. Trading up to draft Love, was just he icing on the cake. They were one game away from the Superbowl the year before, and that pick doesnt help that team or Aaron get any closer to winning the Superbowl.
