Yoyoyo my friends,
Here is San Antonio with my pregnant wife and 2yo kid. Need recs on things to do, esp with it raining the next 2 days. I'll hang up and listen.

Thanks!

Boudro’s and table side guacamole.
We were in a pinch a few weeks ago in San Antonio and I am thankful for the good folks on this board who recommended said restaurant and dish.

Stay at Mokara or hotel Contessa on the Riverwalk. Ride one of the boats.

SeaWorld is awesome . Natural Bridge caverns.

There is nothing redeeming about San Antonio, unless you are a fan of hail.

I suggest hopping in a car and sloshing through the rain to Kerrville or Fredericksburg. You might even run into me, as we're enjoying a nice weekend in the Hill Country.

Isn’t I-10 between San Antonio and Boerne closed this weekend?

Take 16 to 173 then.

I'll buy you your first glass of wine.

Check out Barons Creek Vineyards. Someone told me that they’re better than Grape Greek

You don’t go to San Antonio, Mexico for shrimp and grits. Get tacos or enchiladas or fajitas. Find the shittiest hole in the wall place and stroll in with “hola Amigo!” And order some tacos. Breakfast ones, for lunch, and for diner.

It’s not a very kid friendly city

Especially once you get a block or two away from the river walk

I disagree completely.
Compare SA with any other city - Austin, NOLA, Atlanta, etc. There are few homeless, very little street crime, the city is walkable and the people are friendly. The missions, Sea World, zoo, markets, Riverwalk. It's a great city to take your kids.
To visit.
