One of my great memories of staying at my grandma’s was chocolate gravy on homemade buttered biscuits. Was this a staple in any one else’s home? I’d love to see any recipes that anyone is willing to share if so.

Just go to Golden Corral and stick your corndog in the chocolate fountain.

My mom and grandma used to make this all the time when I was a kid.

My maternal grandmother made tomato gravy that was awesome.
Just a simple white (milk) gravy from either sausage or bacon and stir in stewed diced tomatoes about 5 minutes before serving over biscuits. (we kids would crumble our biscuits first and make a big pile to ladle the gravy onto, adults would simply split their biscuits in a civilized manner )
She could make chocolate gravy too but we all preferred tomato gravy.

yes, it is something that most people don't know anything about.

I tried it for the first time a few years back, and it was good.

Meant to hit thumbs up - fat fingers. My grandmother made tomato gravy for my dad every time we went to her house.

It wasn't a staple but my grandmother made it every now and then. She didn't do homemade biscuits though. I think she used frozen biscuits, but can't really remember.
I want to say she made a roux and added chocolate chips to it along with the milk.

I can honestly say that I have never heard of chocolate gravy.
After looking at that recipe, it is essentially thin chocolate pudding that is served hot, before cooling.

Thought about posting this to the OT. If I had this would’ve been the first response.
