I just texted my pops (no pics) this defense is becoming fun to watch.

Who is better defensively right now?

They better bring it to the playoffs because that's been their identity the last few years. Start off shitty, then mid season they look like the best NFL defense ever, then end of the year and playoffs they start sucking again.
They've started off looking like shite this year and now they look unstoppable. Yet again. All I'm saying is they better fricking bring it in the playoffs. Looking like the 85 Bears in week 11 is cool and all but that doesn't win you chips

1 TD given up in the last 12 quarters.

Last year, we lost some dlinemen

We also had a pretty darn good game defensively against the Vikings, the offense couldn’t sustain drives and give them rest.

Whatever happened to that "Best defense in the league" meme?

With the amazing DLine and Increasingly better LB Play, the front 7 is being able to hide what deficiencies the DBs may have. The DB play is getting better this seems though

Davenport getting healthy, trading for Kwon Alexander, & our Safeties getting their heads out of their asses have transformed this defense.
Even without Rankins (who should come back before the playoffs)...the D-Line has been elite against the run & rushing the QB. Against the run...Onyemata, Malcolm Brown, Cam Jordan, & Davenport are the main 4. Rushing the QB...Onyemata, Cam Jordan, Hendrickson, & Davenport moving inside is our best lineup. Tuttle & Granderson are options as well.
Getting Kwon has been huge. He allows CGJ to play closer to the line of scrimmage, & Demario Davis seems to be playing better as well next to Kwon. Anzalone was starting to become a pretty big problem, & but it's nice to have him as an experienced backup.
CGJ has turned it around since Kwon arrived, & the Safeties have been playing great for about the last month. Marcus Williams & Malcolm Jenkins need to keep it up, b/c they are a huge part of our recent success on defense. Janoris has been solid all year, & PRob has been surprisingly solid as our backup outside CB this year. PJ Williams gets some snaps as well, & hasn't been screwing up lately.
Everything is coming together at the perfect time, & Lattimore is the last piece of the puzzle imo. He needs to be that #1 CB that we're used to seeing at the end of the year. If he can do that...this might be the best defense in the league.

And they did this without Lattimore and Rankins. When they get healthy, it is going to be rough

Hendrickson is 1st in the NFL in sacks!

Yeah to win the super bowl it will be because the defense is playing lights out
Kamara doing his thing and Thomas starting to round back into form with Sanders showing up here and there is making the offense more dangerous as well, need to get TE more involved
Just take care of business and try and stay as healthy as possible
Plus the team with the bye gets a huge advantage

Why I can't and won't trust them, but that said they are getting an insane amount of pressure and that's something that has been missing in the past
